Pakistani President calls for a concerted effort to combat hunger and poverty

Arif Alvi, the president of Pakistan, has urged the country to unite in the battle against issues such as poverty, malnourishment, stunting, and mortality of mothers and newborns.

According to Xinhua news agency, the President made the comments at an occasion and said that 26 million children in Pakistan are still not enrolled in school.

He said that China’s emphasis on the health and education sectors had enabled the nation to pull close to 800 million people out of poverty, and he suggested that Pakistan adopt the same strategy for growth.

Alvi emphasized the contribution that women have made to the development of the nation and said that giving them access to health and educational resources is crucial to accomplishing the objective of women’s empowerment in Pakistan.

He emphasized how crucial it is to provide women a safe place to work if we want to see them in the workforce and support the nation’s economic development in South Asia.
