Raju Bista, an MP, advocates for President’s Rule

Today, Darjeeling MP Raju Bista called for the imposition of President’s Rule in West Bengal and the suspension of the state administration.

The only way to resolve the Sandeshkhali problem, according to Darjeeling MP Bista, is to impose President’s Rule in West Bengal, he told media at Bagdogra Airport today. The misery of women and people in this state will worsen as long as the governor of West Bengal delays implementing President’s Rule. The only way to put an end to injustice and torture of women is to implement President’s Rule.

“I believe that 10 crore people will happily extend their support to the BJP if the Governor of West Bengal recommends President’s Rule in the state ahead of the Lok Sabha Polls,” Mr. Bista said.

In response to an uprising spearheaded by Anit Thapa, the chief of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA), and his political party, Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha (BGPM), regarding the issue of tribal status for eleven marginalized sub-castes in the Hills, Mr. Bista declared, “They are attempting to deflect public attention from their shortcomings.” The federal government continues to operate even after the budget session has completed. The Hill concerns are receiving significant attention from our administration.

“I would ask them to refrain from politicizing the identity of the Gorkha people. I will continue to fight for them because I am an MP,” he said.

Conversely, Nisith Pramanik said, “As a female leader, I find it incomprehensible that Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister, remains silent about the issue of women being tortured by her party leaders in Sandeshkhali.”
