The community is in shock after a fatal shooting as Idaho police apprehend the suspect

According to a news source, police in Idaho detained a suspect in a shooting that claimed the lives of four individuals on Sunday. In a Facebook post, the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office said that at about 7:30 pm, it and the Kellogg Police Department responded to a house in Kellogg.

News sources said that police discovered four victims who had died from gunshot wounds. According to a post on the Shoshone News-Press’ Facebook page, the shooting took place in a complex of multi-family homes behind the Mountain View Congregational Church in the city, which is located approximately 36 miles (58 km) east of Coeur d’Alene.

KXLY-TV was informed by the Idaho State Police that a 31-year-old male had been arrested. The TV station was informed by a resident present at the scene that there was an ongoing disagreement between neighbours nearby.

The Kellogg Police Department and the State Police, according to the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office, are in charge of the investigation.

A request for further information sent by The Associated Press via email was not immediately answered by the Kellogg Police Department.
