Today, Rishi Sunak will go to Israel

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will arrive in Tel Aviv on Thursday amid the intensification of the current Israel-Hamas conflict, making him the second foreign leader after US President Joe Biden to do so.

Sunak will first see Benjamin Netanyahu, his Israeli counterpart, soon after his arrival, according to a BBC News report, and then the British leader will visit other regional cities.

Every civilian fatality is a tragedy, Sunak said before to his journey. Additionally, too many lives have been sacrificed as a result of Hamas’ heinous act of terrorism.

The Prime Minister will express his sympathies for the people lost in the tragic Hamas strikes, according to the BBC, and he will push for the prompt delivery of humanitarian relief to Gaza.

A peaceful solution between Israel and Gaza is what British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly will be advocating for when he meets with leaders in Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar in the coming days.

According to a BBC story, he “will push for an agreement on humanitarian access to Gaza and the release of British hostages held by Hamas.”

Following Biden’s remarkable wartime visit to Israel on Wednesday, which took place the day after the fatal bombing at a Gaza City hospital, Sunak and Cleverly’s travels are scheduled.

According to the BBC, Biden supported Israel’s version of the event by saying that it looked that a failed rocket fired by Palestinian terrorists was what caused the explosion.

But according to Palestinian sources, the hospital was struck by an Israeli airstrike.

Sunak warned MPs not to “rush to judgment” at Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday, stating that British intelligence agencies were attempting to determine who was responsible for the explosion.

“The attack on Al-Ahli Hospital should be a watershed moment for leaders in the region and around the world to come together to avoid further dangerous escalation of conflict,” he added in a subsequent statement.

“I’ll make sure the UK is leading this effort,” she said.
