What Is Killing Penguins Near Uruguay in the Atlantic Ocean?

On Uruguay’s eastern coast, at least 2000 penguins had perished in the last 10 days.

According to the sources, the reason of the penguin’s death is still unknown.


According to accounts, Magellanic penguins that were discovered dead in the Atlantic Ocean and transported to Uruguayan coastlines by currents.

Environmentalists blame overfishing and illicit fishing for the rise in fatalities of Magellanic penguins.
