Who was the Indian guy named Vivek Taneja who was attacked and murdered outside a restaurant in Washington?

The president and co-founder of Dynamo Technologies was an Indian guy who passed away after an attack in downtown Washington. Vivek Chander Taneja, 41, passed away after an alleged blow to the head during a fight outside a restaurant.

Taneja was critically injured when police arrived at the site after receiving complaints of an attack. He was taken to the hospital in a hurry, but he did not make it. Police declared Taneja’s killing to be a “homicide.”

A representative for the business described Taneja as one of the top providers of technology and analytics solutions to the federal government, as reported by NBC Washington.

Dr. Taneja oversees Dynamo’s strategy, growth, and relationship activities, with a focus on the federal government contracting space, according to Dynamo Technologies’ website. Having trained as a systems engineer, he has overseen several technical consulting projects in both the public and private domains.

According to the website, “Dr. Taneja holds degrees in economics and interdisciplinary studies from the University of Virginia, telecommunications management and engineering management and systems engineering (D.Eng.) from George Mason University, and engineering management and systems engineering from George Washington University, where he used a system dynamics approach to analyze the impact of electronic health care records on the U.S. healthcare system for his doctoral research.”

As of yet, no one has been taken into custody in relation to the homicide. But the suspect was caught on video by a CCTV system. The public is being asked for assistance by the Homicide Branch of the Metropolitan Police Department in identifying and tracking down the individual who killed Taneja.

Police are offering up to a $25,000 reward to anybody with information that helps identify and apprehend the culprit or suspects responsible for any murders that have occurred in the District of Columbia.
