PM Modi conducts the inaugural pooja at the renovated ITPO Complex at Pragati Maidan in Delhi

At the newly renovated India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) headquarters in Delhi, which will host the G20 leaders’ summit in September, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted the first hawan on Wednesday. The ITPO complex, also known as the Pragati Maidan complex, is India’s biggest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination and has a campus area of around 123 acres.

At 10 am, Prime Minister Modi began the opening ceremony with a Hawan Pujan, after which the construction workers participating would be honored. PM Modi will return to ITPO later on in the evening for a formal ceremony at 6:30 pm where the G20 stamp and coin will be unveiled. PM Modi will speak at roughly 7:05 p.m.

A REVAMPED ITPO Complex Overview

The IECC (Integrated Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre) was constructed as a contemporary complex as part of the Pragati Maidan redevelopment project, competing with colossal names like the Hannover Exhibition Centre in Germany and the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC) in Shanghai in terms of covered space available for events.

A magnificent seating capacity of 7,000 people is available on Level 3 of the Convention Centre, making it even bigger than the famed Sydney Opera House’s seating capacity of 5,500 people.

A platform for exhibitors and businesses to interact with their target audience, the exhibition halls also have seven creative areas for presenting goods, inventions, and ideas. This encourages company development and networking possibilities.

The IECC has several outstanding characteristics, including a spectacular amphitheatre with 3,000 seats that serves as the venue for performances, cultural events, and entertainment activities.

Additionally, there are more than 5,500 parking spots available. Visitors may easily reach the location because to the signal-free highways’ ease of access.
