According to a survey, women prefer married guys with beards over clean-shaven ones

Beards are often seen as symbols of masculinity.

Studies and research efforts have shown that women prefer bearded gentlemen over clean-shaven ones. These investigations and research were carried out at different times by Queensland University, Barnaby J. Dixon, Robert C. Brooks, and a number of international organizations. Men nowadays thus want to keep their beards in order to seem more muscular and macho. A similar research was also published in the Journal of Evolutionary Biology.

Researchers from the University of Queensland asked over 8,500 women about relationships and their preferences for men with and without beards. Recall that most of these surveys and studies come from the United States and Europe, not India. A poll found that when it comes to marriage, women prefer bearded males. It’s generally accepted that clean-shaven men make superior casual lovers.

Beards are said to be a sign of a man’s age and social dominance as a man. Additionally, the survey indicated that bearded faces are seen as more appealing for long-term partnerships than clean-cut ones. Still, other data also points to the opposite conclusion. According to a 2016 University of Queensland research, men with longer beards tend to be more stable and are more likely to be in committed relationships.

A dating site poll indicates that 60% of women find bearded guys attractive. Moreover, fifty percent of these women’s spouses have beards and moustaches. According to a British research published in ZME Science, women cease looking for bearded guys once they discover one they like because they see them as more aggressive and manly.

According to a different study, women find bearded men more attractive and may even believe that they would make better dads or spouses. Furthermore, studies show that women prefer solid relationships over ephemeral ones, with men who have beards seeing as more dependable. However, generally speaking, women also appreciate men who want well-groomed beards.
