Check out the official announcement here for the new objection window date for JEE Main Answer Key Challenge 2024

In a recent development, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has adjusted the date for the JEE Main Answer Key Challenge 2024. As per the official notice, this revision is due to a technical glitch in the server. The objection window for JEE Mains 2024 will now remain open until February 9. Initially set to conclude on February 8, the extension aims to accommodate challenges against the provisional answer key.

The JEE Main Session 1 Answer Key 2024 was initially released on February 6. Candidates who participated in the engineering entrance examination can access the provisional answer key for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), Paper 2A (B.Arch.), and Paper 2B (B.Planning), along with the question papers and recorded responses on the official website at jeemain.nta.ac.in.

For those dissatisfied with the JEE Main answer key, an online challenge can be submitted by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per question challenged, following a specific procedure.

Steps to raise an objection for JEE Main Answer Key Challenge 2024:

  1. Visit the official website at jeemain.nta.ac.in.
  2. On the homepage, click on ‘Challenge (s) regarding Answer Key.’
  3. Log in with your Application Number and Date of Birth and submit.
  4. Click on ‘Challenge (s) regarding Answer Key.’
  5. Identify the Question IDs for JEE (Main) 2024 Session 1 (January 2024).
  6. The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct Option’ represents the most appropriate Answer Key by NTA.
  7. If challenging, select one or more Option IDs in the next four columns by clicking the checkbox.
  8. Upload supporting documents.
  9. After selecting your desired option, for Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), Mathematics / Aptitude Test for Paper 2A (B.Arch.), and Mathematics / Aptitude Test / Planning for Paper 2B (B.Planning), scroll down and ‘Save your claim.’
  10. View all the Option IDs challenged, then click on ‘Save your claim and Pay Fee finally.’

If a candidate’s challenge is deemed valid, the answer key will undergo revision, with adjustments applied uniformly to all candidates’ responses. The final result will be based on the revised answer keys, and individual candidates will not receive specific notifications regarding the acceptance or non-acceptance of their challenges. The keys, ultimately approved by experts after resolving challenges, will be considered final.

Candidates who challenged without the appropriate Question ID / Option ID can re-challenge, and their original fees will be refunded. Such candidates have been notified through email/SMS. For further assistance and information related to JEE Main 2024 Session 1, candidates are encouraged to visit the official website.
