JEE Main 2024 Session 1 begins on January 24; see the date of the admit card release.

New Delhi: January 24–February 1, 2024, is when the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2024 Session 1 is planned to take place. JEE Main 2024 registration was available from November 1 to November 30, 2023, with an extension of eight days for candidates to make changes. The official timetable states that three days before to the test, admission cards for JEE Main 2024’s first session would be distributed. Registered candidates may access and download their admission cards by visiting the official website after the NTA releases them.

JEE Main 2024: How to get admission cards
Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in, the official website.
Once the link is enabled, choose the “JEE Main 2024 Admit Card” link from the site.
There will be a new page shown.
Enter the necessary information and press the submit button.
There will be a screen display of the admission card.
Take a printout of the admission card after downloading it for your records.
English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu are among the thirteen languages in which JEE (Main) – 2024 will be conducted.

Exam schedule: 2024 for JEE Main Paper 1 (BE/BTech) has two sessions planned: Session 1 (January 24–February 1, 2024) and Session 2 (April 1–April 15, 2024). The purpose of this scheduling is to avoid any conflicts with board exams, which might take place at different times in different States and UTs. Furthermore, there will be two administrations of Paper 2A and Paper 2B (BArch and BPlanning) in 2024, one in January and one in April.

Qualification for JEE Main admission
The National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) are among the esteemed institutes to whom admission is granted via the JEE Main test. A minimum of 75% of the possible points must be earned in the 12th-grade exam, or the candidate must rank in the top 20% of the test taken by the relevant Board. The qualifying score drops to 65% for those who belong to Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Scheduled Castes (SC). Additionally, entrance to the BE/BTech and BArch/BPlanning programs at these schools requires a certain mix of subjects to be taken on the qualifying test.

The JEE Main Exam’s Structure
There are two separate papers in the JEE Main test. Candidates who pass Paper 1 are entitled to apply to universities and other institutions financed or recognized by participating State Governments, as well as Undergraduate Engineering programs such as BE/BTech at NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs. Candidates who pass the JEE Main test are also eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam, which is required to get admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The second paper of JEE (Main) is intended for those who want to enroll in B.Arch and B.Planning programs at various national institutions.

There are three papers in the JEE Main 2024 exam:

Paper 1: Bachelor of Engineering

Method of analysis:

Math and aptitude tests may be taken in computer-based test (CBT) format; drawing tests can be taken in “pen and paper-based” (offline) style using an A4 drawing sheet.

B Planning, Paper 2B

Section I: Arithmetic
Section II: Ability Exam
Section III: Questions Based on Planning
Kind of inquiries:

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and questions requiring numerical values for Mathematics; Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for Aptitude Test; Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for Planning-Based Questions

Only the Computer Based Test (CBT) modality will be used for the test.
