14 children in Chhattisgarh become sick after eating lunch at a government school in the Korba District

At least 14 kids from a government secondary school in Chhattisgarh were ill on Tuesday after eating lunch in the Korba region, displaying signs of possible food poisoning, according to authorities.

At the public middle school in Birtarai village, which is approximately 40 kilometers from Korba town, the pupils began throwing up after eating the lunch, according to district education officer (DEO) GP Bhardwaj.

Afternoon food poisoning symptoms caused the pupils to be transported to the local community health center. For better care, eight kids were transferred to the hospital and medical school in Korba. The eight kids’ conditions are believed to be normal, according to Dr. Avinash Meshram, head of the medical college.

The youngsters claimed to have begun throwing up after eating karil (bamboo stem) vegetables, while the DEO said that only kadhi was cooked at the school.
