27-Year-Old Man Arrested with 11 Live Cartridges and Homemade Pistols

A 27-year-old guy was detained in the Bandra area carrying two handguns produced in his own country and 11 live rounds, according to a Mumbai police crime branch officer.

Tuesday, when intense security was in place in the city due to Dussehra rallies of two Shiv Sena factions, the immersion of Goddess Durga idols, and an ICC World Cup cricket match, the arrest was made close to Rangsharda Bhavan.

Amit Kinake, a Nagpur resident, was named as the individual who had been detained.

According to the official, “acting on reliable information, the crime branch apprehended Kinake and recovered county-made pistols made of steel and iron metals, as well as 11 live cartridges.”

Police are looking into the recipient of the weapons that Kinake planned to send.

According to the officer, a complaint has been filed under both the Mumbai Police Act and the Arms Act.
