35 sovereign gold gems were taken from a techie’s home in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, during a break-in

About 35 sovereigns worth of gold ornaments were taken by unidentified miscreants from the home of a 40-year-old techie in Mathigiri, Hosur, Krishnagiri district.

N Sathish (40), a resident of a gated community in Mathigiri, reported the crime. He works in Bengaluru as a software developer.

Sathish and his family left for his hometown of Namakkal on May 3 and returned on Saturday night. According to a police source, they discovered that the front door was busted open and that gold jewelry were taken.

Sathish notified the police in Mathigiri. When police got at the residence, they discovered that two of the CCTV cameras in the neighborhood weren’t working properly.
On the basis of Sathish’s Monday complaint to Mathigiri police, a special team was assembled to conduct an inquiry.

In order to lower crime in the city, a representative from the Hosur police subdivision requested that the residential association maintain the CCTV systems appropriately and encouraged other associations to do the same.
