On February 22, Swami Prasad Maurya will announce his own party after leaving the Samajwadi Party

Lucknow: On Tuesday, Swami Prasad Maurya announced the foundation of a new party and resigned from both the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council and the Samajwadi Party’s main membership, one week after he submitted his resignation as the party’s national general secretary.

On February 13, Maurya tendered his resignation as national general secretary of the party, citing bias and lack of support from the leadership about his contentious remarks on the Ramcharitmanas and the consecration of the Ayodhya temple.

According to Maurya, he will launch a new party in New Delhi on Thursday.

“I have the chance to collaborate with you. However, after our discussions on February 12 and my resignation (as national general secretary) on February 13, no attempt was made to have any conversations with me. As a result, I am resigning from the party’s main membership, Maurya said in a letter to Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the party.

In addition, he posted the letter on his social media pages.

Maurya said, “I was elected as a Samajwadi Party member in the legislative council,” in a separate letter to the chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council. On the grounds of morality, I am resigning from both my main party membership and my position as MLC (member of legislative council).

“I left my posts immediately whenever someone tried to attack the ideology,” he said. It has been determined that on February 22, I will declare the new party at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium, gather employee feedback, and develop a future plan.

When asked whether he would rather join the NDA or the India bloc, he stated that the India bloc was what the world needed right now. In addition, Maurya questioned the allocation of SP tickets for the February 27 Rajya Sabha elections, in which the party has fielded Alok Ranjan, Jaya Bachchan, and Ramjilal Suman. The party, according to Maurya, has not complied with its own demand for support of the “PDA.”

“Picchde, Dalit, and Alpsankhyak” is what SP head Yadav abbreviated as “PDA.” He said that the party’s future is bleak as long as SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav is still in office. He also questioned the party’s secularism, claiming that it performed a “Shaligram puja” at its headquarters. “Not even the BJP has ever done a pooja at their headquarters. However, SP did it at its office,” he said.
