A bomb explosion in Hooghly, West Bengal, kills a teenager; BJP MP barricades road, seeking an investigation by the NIA

Monday’s bombing in West Bengal’s Hooghly district claimed the life of an adolescent boy and wounded two more. In response, local BJP MP Locket Chatterjee blocked the main road for more than two hours and demanded an investigation into the event by the NIA.

The event happened close to a pond where several youngsters were playing in Pandua, in the Hooghly district.

According to police, the youngster passed away from his wounds at a Pandua hospital, while two other wounded people were sent to a Chinsurah hospital for further care.

According to authorities, an inquiry into the incident that happened at approximately 8:30 am has begun.

Along with hundreds of party activists, the BJP MP blocked GT Road, claiming that TMC thugs were responsible for the bomb in an attempt to incite fear in advance of national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee’s campaign in the region later that day.

“Justice for the families of the innocent lads is something I want, together with the people of Pandua. There is no way the state police could look into the situation in depth and objectively. She said to PTI, “We demand an NIA investigation.

Chatterjee got into a fight with the cops when they asked her to remove the roadblock.

According to TMC spokeswoman Trinankur Bhattacharya, police were investigating the tragic occurrence, which had nothing to do with politics.

“She (Chatterjee) wants to use the corpse of a child to play politics.” According to Bhattacharya, the BJP wants the NIA to look into every bomb explosion incidence that occurs in West Bengal.
