A CM from Assam launches the biggest Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana in India

In the Naharkatia region of Dibrugarh, the biggest Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana in the nation was launched by Assam’s Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma.

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said in an interview with X on Wednesday that “Today’s #VikasYatra has delivered over Rs1,600 crore of development efforts across Assam.” A new solar-powered housing colony under the PM Awas Yojana in Naharkatia, a cutting-edge conference center in Lakhimpur, and ambulances for our tea estates are notable examples of these.

According to information released by CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on X, the CM inaugurated 46 projects in Lakhimpur worth Rs807 crores and launched Rs745 crores of developmental projects in Dibrugarh on Wednesday as part of the Vikas Yatra.

The chief minister of Assam earlier on Tuesday said that the state government has scheduled the opening and launch of projects totaling ₹23,000 crore around the state as part of the Vikas Yatra.

That day, the Chief Minister went to a rally in Lower Assam’s Bajali as part of his continued involvement in the state’s many Vikas Yatras.

The Chief Minister either laid the foundation stone or opened projects totaling ₹154 crore for the Bajali district.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Sarma conveyed his confidence that the projects that were either launched or had their foundations set had the potential to greatly fulfill the dreams and ambitions of the people living in the Bajali area.

The Assam Chief Minister had earlier dedicated and laid the cornerstone for ₹171 crore worth of developments at Bongaigaon.
