A confrontation occurs in J-K’s Baramulla near the LoC

Security personnel and militants engaged in combat Saturday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, close to the Line of Control (LoC), according to the police.

The Kashmir Zone Police reported an encounter between terrorists and the Army and Baramulla Police in a post on X. “#Encounter has started between #terrorists and #Army & Baramulla Police in forward area of #Uri, Hathlanga in #Baramulla district,” it stated.

Police added that further information will be provided.

This occurs while a military operation to eliminate terrorists who have taken up positions in steep, forested areas is taking place in the Anantnag region. On Friday, the gunfight’s third day began.
