A few days after leaving Asansol, Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh declares his intention to run for office

Days after withdrawing his candidacy from Bengal’s Asansol seat, Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh said on Wednesday that he would run in the polls, marking a significant political move.

Pawan asked for people’s help and blessings in a post on X.

“In order to keep the promise I made to my mother, my people, and my society, I will run for office.” We count on your cooperation and blessings. He said “Jai Mata Di” on X.

The Bhojpuri musician hasn’t yet disclosed the party or constituency he would be running for office, however.

Pawan Singh had already announced his withdrawal from the Lok Sabha election on March 3.

The singer said on his official X account that he was withdrawing from the competition “for some reason.”

I extend my sincere appreciation to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s upper echelon. Singh said from his X account, “The party trusted me and nominated me as the candidate from Asansol in West Bengal. However, for some reason, I will not be able to contest the elections from Asansol.”

The Bhojpuri singer’s post was tagged with a comment that read, “The indomitable spirit and power of the people of West Bengal,” by Abhishek Banerjee, the national general secretary of the ruling Trinamool Congress and the nephew of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. This added to the mystery surrounding his decision to withdraw from the contest.

Congress leader Pawan Khera said that although the BJP is bringing up the Sandeshkali tragedy, it is also recruiting singers like Pawan Singh to run in the next Lok Sabha elections from Asansol. Pawan Singh is a Bhojpuri singer.

In addition, Pawan Khera asked whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi was aware of Pawan Singh’s reputation.

“This case is intriguing. The Prime Minister is in charge of all the agencies. Did he not know the reputation of Pawan Singh? It is now, one day later, when he finds out. This illustrates the nature of the nation’s governance. The purpose of each agency is to monitor the opposition. Since this is Pawan Singh’s era, it is evident that individuals like Harsh Vardhan are retiring now, Khera said .
