A five-year-old girl in Navi Mumbai was sexually molested; the incident is recorded

According to news agency PTI, police in Navi Mumbai claimed on Saturday that they had filed a complaint against an unnamed male for allegedly sexually abusing a five-year-old child in the neighborhood.

According to an official, the police on Friday filed a case under the applicable sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and the Indian Penal Code in response to a complaint made by the victim’s mother.

According to PTI, the unnamed accused enticed the girl with a toy, brought her to a remote location next to a building’s stairway in the Darave neighborhood of Nerul, and sexually abused her on Friday afternoon.

An investigation into the event has been launched, according to a Nerul police station officer.

In a another incident, authorities stated on Saturday that a 34-year-old man from Navi Mumbai was reportedly tricked out of Rs 19.43 lakh by cybercriminals who convinced him to do online activities in exchange for further money, according to PTI.

According to a source who spoke with PTI, the complainant, a worker at the newly built Navi Mumbai Airport, said that the accused contacted him on the Telegram app and assigned him chores like liking hotels and making reservations.

According to the claimant, he was forced to pay Rs 19.43 lakh after completing the assignments between March 24 and April 9.

Later, the guy got Rs 24.3 lakh in his bank account, but the official told PTI that he was unable to withdraw any money from it or get his money back.

According to him, the police have opened a complaint against four people under the applicable sections of the Information Technology Act and the Indian Penal Code, and an investigation has been launched.

According to authorities, a guy reportedly defrauded a school in the Thane region of Maharashtra of over Rs 10 lakh under the guise of obtaining permission from the government to operate junior colleges at its two current schools, as PTI reported.

The district’s Dombivli is where the institution is situated.

“This organization runs two schools: one in Diva and one in Sagaon, Dombivli. These institutions provide instruction through Class 10. However, it appealed to the state education department for permission to establish junior college (for Classes 11 and 12),” a Manpada police station officer said, as PTI reported.

The organization desired a capable someone who could manage it. According to PTI, one Dhanaji Janrao promised to get the necessary authorization and requested Rs 16 lakh for the assignment.

So, it gave him Rs 10.62 lakh between March 2021 and June 2022. However, when it contacted him again, he responded incoherently. Additionally, he informed them that it would take a long time for permission since a new administration was in place, the official said, as reported by PTI.

After that, he claimed, one of the institution’s trustees filed a complaint against him, on the basis of which the Manpada police station received a FIR, and an investigation was underway.
