A number of fresh faces from Andhra Pradesh are expected to join Parliament

If they win the polls, former MPs like Botcha Jhansi and Daggubati Purandeswari would join Parliament from new seats, bringing at least eight fresh faces from Andhra Pradesh to the Lok Sabha.

With regard to caste equations and their chances of victory, the YSRC has replaced a number of its current MPs; nevertheless, the TDP has made some adjustments in light of its alliance with the BJP and JSP. The TDP has run for 17 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats available, leaving six to be filled by the BJP and two by the JSP as part of an alliance.

The BJP has put up former Rajya Sabha MP Ramesh as a candidate in Anakapalle. Despite the BJP’s desire for Visakhapatnam, its coalition partner TDP awarded it Anakapalle. The BJP won the seat from the JSP, which had originally intended to run Pawan Kalyan’s brother Nagababu from Anakapalle.

Since Ramesh is a member of the Velama clan, the YSRC leadership considered their options and decided to provide Deputy Chief Minister Budi Mutyala Naidu an opportunity to run for the seat, taking out the current Member of Parliament, B Venkata Satyavathi.

Kurnool Mayor BY Ramaiah was fielded by the YSRC in place of incumbent MP S Sanjeev Kumar. On the other hand, the TDP moved Kotla Jayasurya Prakash Reddy to the Dhone Assembly segment in an attempt to put the Finance Minister and Dhone MLA up against serious opposition. In the most recent elections, the former Union minister ran an unsuccessful campaign for a Lok Sabha seat.

The TDP has Panchalingala Nagaraju from Kurnool on the ballot in this procedure.

The JSP has put up Tea Time proprietor Tangella Uday Srinivas in Kakinada, where he is running for office for the first time. Vanga Geetha, the current MP for the YSRC, is now running in the Pithapuram Assembly seat against JSP chairman Pawan Kalyan. From Kakinada, Chalamalasetty Sunil has been fielded by the YSRC. Previously, Sunil ran an unsuccessful campaign for the Lok Sabha seat.

Former Union minister MM Pallam Raju has been fielded by the Congress, however it is doubtful that the party would fare well given its declining popularity.

The current MPs in Eluru and Guntur Lok Sabha seats have chosen to step down from electoral politics and not run for office. New faces from the two segments have been fielded by the TDP and the YSRC.

Galla Jayadev, a two-time MP from Guntur, made the decision to leave political politics. NRI Pemmasani Chandrasekhar has been fielded by the TDP as a result. In opposition to the NRI, the YSRC has chosen Kilari Venkata Rosaiah, the current Ponnur MLA, over M Venugopal Reddy, the loser of the 2019 election.

For a variety of reasons, the current YSRC MP for Eluru, Kotagiri Sridhar, has refrained from attending party functions. As part of its social engineering, the YSRC nominated Karumuri Sunil Kumar Yadav, son of Civil Supplies Minister Karumuri Venkata Nageswara Rao, and awarded the ticket to a BC.

In Eluru, the TDP also used a similar strategy and fielded Putta Mahesh Yadav, who helped the party win a majority of MPs from the Kamma community, including Maganti Babu and Kavuri Sambasiva Rao.

In an attempt to win over BC voters, the YSRC conducted a similar exercise in Narasapuram, fielding BC leader Guduri Umabala in lieu of its renegade MP, K Raghu Rama Krishna Raju. Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Varma, a former winner of Narasapuram, has been nominated by the BJP. Both the YSRC and the TDP have nominated new candidates in Amalapuram and Anantapur as part of their efforts to win a majority of Lok Sabha seats in the elections.
