ACB files DA lawsuit against lecturer at NIT

After conducting five raids on Monday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Jammu and Kashmir filed a Disproportionate Assets complaint against a professor at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar.

The ACB said in a statement on Monday that it has filed a complaint against Manzoor Ahmad Tantray, a professor at NIT, Srinagar, who is employed in the Ganderbal area. According to the ACB, the professor had significant financial deposits, both in his own and his family’s names, as well as immovable and moveable properties.

During the verification, it was discovered that the assets were out of proportion to his known source of income. The aforementioned public worker committed crimes that are legally punished by her acts and inactions.

“Incriminating material was found and confiscated as evidence in the current case during the search, including revenue papers, finance/bank records, and Rs 3,86,650 in cash. The situation is still being looked into, according to the statement.
