According to Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, fake news has an impact on the GDP and per capita income

According to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday, fake news stirs up social discontent and lowers the nation’s GDP and per capita income.

He requested that the police take stern legal action against individuals who disseminate false information.

The chief minister discussed the issues caused by false news after paying respects to martyrs at the Martyrs’ Park on Mysore Road during a Police Remembrance Day event. He said that it was causing instability and wide-spread hostility.

“It is the responsibility of the government and the police system to see and treat all people equally,” stated Siddaramaiah.

“Hateful and false news hurts the nation’s GDP. Unrest also has an impact on the population’s per capita income. Therefore, websites that promote false news should be subject to rigorous legal punishment, according to Siddaramaiah.

The chief minister stressed that the police agency is confronting new difficulties as a result of technological innovation. He added it should be thoroughly prevented as cybercrimes are growing along with advancements in cyber technology.

The CM emphasized the need to increase women’s, children’s, and elderly people’ safety and security.

He also emphasized the need to improve traffic system efficiency for seamless operation.

The police system aims to uphold the state’s and the government’s dignity. Development and law and order are directly related, according to Siddaramaiah.

He made the point that when the state has good law and order, there would be more investment, which will hasten growth and promote job creation.

As a consequence, he said, the nation’s population will have a higher per capita income.

He urged the police force to firmly uphold the nation’s laws and order.

Additional police positions have been established, and Rs 100 crore would be provided for the purchase of new vehicles, Siddaramaiah said the crowd.

The group insurance sum for police officers who pass away while on duty would be doubled from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 50 lakh, according to the chief minister, who was speaking about the welfare measures the government has implemented for police personnel and their families.

He also informed the crowd that 450 crore rupees will be used to build 2,125 homes for police officers.

He claims that Rs 100 crore has been set aside for the health care of officials and police officers. According to Siddaramaiah, the fixed deposit is held for the care and welfare of retired employees.

In addition to the police canteens that are being established, he noted that seven police public schools are being established in seven areas for the education of children of police officers.
