According to TN CM Stalin, if the BJP wins the 2024 local elections, democracy would end

Nobody can defend democracy, social justice, or the Constitution if the BJP wins another term in power at the federal level, declared DMK President and Chief Minister M K Stalin on Wednesday.

Stalin added that rather than focusing on who should succeed the current government at the Centre after the Lok Sabha elections next year, he was speaking to DMK booth-level party officials in the Cauvery Delta areas.

He said and urged the party cadres to campaign for a significant victory that the DMK and its allies must win in all 39 seats in Tamil Nadu in addition to the single segment in neighboring Puducherry. Stalin gave his party officials in charge of the polling places advice on how to successfully campaign using social media and talk to voters on ideology and welfare programs.

The senior DMK official said that the BJP has harmed the core values that make up India and that “we have to put a full stop to this in the upcoming (2024) Parliamentary polls; otherwise, not only Tamil Nadu, but no one can save India (as a whole).”

Nobody can defend democracy, social justice, and the Constitution if the BJP administration remains in power at the federal level, he said.

He claimed the BJP was aiming to reduce the number of states in the Lok Saba in the name of the census while pointing to the new Parliament building’s greater seating capacity of 888 seats.

The suggested effort to provide population weightage while determining the number of MPs in Parliament will have an impact on Tamil Nadu and Kerala, which are among the states that properly implemented the family planning program. On the other side, the proportion of MPs from northern states to their populations would rise.

“They are making the incorrect assumption that, even if we win 40 Lok Sabha seats, they would be able to seize power via MPs from northern states. They are attempting to silence Tamil Nadu’s voice. This is why I’m telling you that the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 are crucial.

Stalin said, “Yes, this is a party for the heirs. The BJP has been accusing the DMK of family/dynastic politics and leadership succession based on heirship. We are the Dravidian descendants of Aariyam’s defeat. We are the descendants of Thanthai Periyar (reformist leader Periyar E V Ramasamy), Perarignar Anna (Dravidian icon C N Annadurai), and Kalaignar (late DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi), I can state with confidence.

Aariyam is a general name for the phrase “Aryan,” “Aryanism,” or the purported idea of Aryan “supremacy.”

The BJP: Whose Heir? Can you boldly declare that you are God’s descendants? Stalin questioned.

The leader of the DMK said that the violence in Manipur was caused by hate speech and that it was reminiscent of the riots in Gujarat in 2002.

He said that the BJP is an organization that usurps the rights of the state and that the AIADMK is a party that surrenders Tamil Nadu’s rights. Therefore, he added, this union had to be destroyed.

In a multicultural, heterogeneous country, Stalin warned against the BJP’s “unitary” inclination, saying it is a key component in the effort to defeat the BJP at the polls. The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, made up of 26 component parties, was created to further this objective.

I.N.D.I.A. is the name of the coalition, and it is this coalition that will preserve India. Narendra Modi, the prime minister, cannot stand this. As a result, Modi is speaking incoherently since the BJP is facing a powerful coalition, the speaker said.

The chief minister said that he is not requesting that the Centre recall Governor R N Ravi. “Let him go on till the polls. The number of votes in our favor will rise much more.

In light of the conflict between Raj Bhavan and the party-led dictatorship, Stalin taunted the Governor by repeating that Ravi is “campaigning” in the DMK’s favor.
