After Shubhkaran Singh passed away, farm protestors in Bathinda filed a formal complaint against Amit Shah, Anil Vij, and Haryana Chief Minister Khattar

Today, the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ekta-Ugrahan), BKU Dhaner, and BKU Krantikari protested against the Center, accusing it of “running away” from written agreements to address pressing concerns facing farmers, such as the MSP’s legal guarantee.

Protesting in the city, they held a sit-in in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, accusing the BJP-led governments of being “responsible for killing of Shubhkaran Singh” by using gunfire to “crush democratic rights” and injure other farmers.

Senior vice Jhanda Singh Jethuke of BKU (Ekta-Ugrahan) state addressed the assembly, criticizing the Center for disregarding the problems of farmers. He said that the unfulfilled objectives of the Delhi protest, which include the establishment of a universal public distribution system, full justice for the heirs of the victims of Lakhimpur Kheri, legal guarantees of MSP for all crops, and comprehensive debt relief and old-age pension for farmers, must be met as soon as possible.

In addition, the demonstrators called for the Union and Haryana Home Ministers as well as Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to be charged with murder in connection with the killing of Shubhkaran Singh and the “brutal” treatment of Preetpal Singh.

In a demand letter, the farm leaders also requested compensation for animal and agricultural losses brought on by severe rains and hailstorms.
