All-Party Meeting Begins Before Tomorrow’s Special Parliamentary Session with BJP and Opposition Leaders Present

An all-party meeting has started at the Parliament Library building today in anticipation of the start of the extraordinary session of parliament tomorrow. Rajnath Singh, a union minister, and other opposition figures have arrived in the nation’s capital to take part in the conference.

Farooq Abdullah, the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and leader of the National Conference, Vaiko, Tiruchi N Siva, and V Sivadasan, the head of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), are some of the leaders present at the meeting. They came to the meeting that the government had called.

Earlier on Wednesday, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said that the day before the five-day Special Session is planned, on September 17, a meeting of the floor leaders of all parties has been invited.

Between September 18 and September 22, there will be a special session.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said on social media site X that “an all-party floor leaders meeting has been convened on the 17th at 4.30 PM, ahead of the parliament session from the 18th of this month.”

“The identical invitation has been sent to the concerned leaders. “Letter to come,” he continued.

The Special Session will include a debate on the 75-year history of the Parliament, beginning with the Samvidhan Sabha, which convened for the first time on December 9, 1946.

On the first day of the five-sitting long special session, a debate on “Parliamentary Journey of 75 years starting from Samvidhan Sabha – Achievements, Experiences, Memories and Learnings” would take place in Parliament, according to a parliamentary bulletin on Wednesday.

Political circles were taken aback by the announcement of the extraordinary session of parliament at a time when everyone is gearing up for the upcoming assembly elections in five states.

A day before the start of the Special Session of Parliament, Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar raised the national flag at the new Parliament building.

Parliamentary business will be conducted at the nearby new building during the Special Session, which begins on Monday.

On the “Gaja Dwar” of the new Parliament structure, Dhankhar raised the flag. Om Birla, the speaker of the Lok Sabha, was also present.
