An imposter woman held

Civil Lines police in this area nabbed a lady yesterday who was impersonating as an inspector and reader for SSP Amritsar Rural police. After her automobile and another car crashed, the police team arrived at the location on Queens Road.

The lady, who introduced herself to the police as Ramandeep Kaur Randhawa, was pressuring the other driver whose vehicle had crashed with hers to pay her for her automobile.

She was later recognized as Partap Nagar resident Ranjit Kaur. A fraud and forgery charge was filed against her after she was taken into custody.

Sub-Inspector Daljit Singh, who filed the first information report, said that yesterday, a Swift Dzire with the number plate PB-01-D-3782 and two BMWs with the registration number DL-1C-M-6898 collided close to the Grand Hotel on Queens Road. The female from the BMW emerged and introduced herself as SSP Amritsar Rural reading Ramandeep Kaur Randhawa. Her car’s rearview mirror smashed in the collision. She kept putting pressure on the police to make sure the other person in the Swift vehicle paid her back.

According to him, the cops became suspicious and brought the two groups to the station. After doing an investigation and getting in touch with the Amritsar rural police officials to verify her identification, it was discovered that Ramandeep Kaur was not the real person listed as the reader. Later on, he added, Partap Nagar resident Ranjit Kaur was recognized as her.

She was the subject of many criminal cases, including one involving unlawful sand mining at this location’s Ajnala police station in October of last year, the police discovered during their investigation.
