Another Accident in Bengal for Passengers from the Odisha Train Crash Site on a Bus

On June 3, an accident occurred involving a bus carrying wounded people from the railway crash in Balasore, Odisha, in the Medinipur district of Bengal. The four-wheeler, which was travelling from Balasore to Kolkata and transporting a number of people, including some who were seriously hurt in the railway tragedy, crashed with a vehicle at Medinipur.

The force of the crash was so tremendous, according to sources, that the bus flipped over and the van was totally wrecked. All of the bus’s occupants suffered injuries, some of them seriously.

Following the accident, this tragedy occurred, and once again the passengers were sent for treatment to the closest hospitals.

According to reports, the van and bus drivers also sustained injuries in the collision. They were also brought to a hospital for medical attention. The police have opened a file and are looking into the situation. The accident’s origin is still unknown.

In contrast, one of the worst railway accidents occurred on Friday night when three trains crashed, killing over 290 people and injuring over 100 more. Three trains — the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, the Kolkata-Chennai Coromandel Express, and a cargo train — collided horribly at Balasore.

Around 7 o’clock in the evening, the accident took place close to the Bahanaga Baazar station in the Balasore district, roughly 250 kilometres south of Kolkata and 170 km north of Bhubaneswar.

The Railways Ministry said that the restoration work in Balasore, Odisha, was underway on a war footing after the rescue efforts from the site came to an end. The Ministry of Railways said in a tweet that staff members are constantly watching how the accident scene is being restored.

Mi-17 helicopters from the Indian Air Force (IAF) were used to transport the wounded and killed. The IAF coordinated the rescue operations with the civil government and Indian Railways, according to the Eastern Command.

Restoration work is still going on at the scene of the railway disaster in Balasore, Odisha, with more than a thousand people working nonstop. For quick repair, more than 7 Poclain Machines, 2 accident relief trains, and a few railway and road cranes are now in use. The accident site’s repair is being carefully watched by officials, according to a statement on the Railways ministry’s official Twitter account.
