At an NITTTR event, academics debate the merits of NEP

Experts in the area of education noted that the National Education Policy, 2020 has set the stage for a revolutionary educational environment that is student-centered and enables students to build crucial 21st-century skills.

According to them, the NEP aims to provide a dynamic educational environment that develops potential and promotes excellence by promoting innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.

All of the presenters emphasized the policy’s focus on fostering research and innovation as a way to build a talent pool of people who can successfully deal with problems in the real world. At the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR) held here on Tuesday, distinguished educators from renowned institutions including the IIEST Shibpur, IIIT Kalyani, IIM Calcutta, IISER, Kolkata, Central Staff Training and Research Institute, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, and Visva-Bharati spoke.

Education will become more open and inclusive, according to Professor Debi Prasad Mishra, director of NITTTR, with the use of technology and contemporary teaching techniques. “NEP aims at universalization of education with 100 per cnet gross enrollment ratio,” he said.

Other presenters focused on the positive steps made in the National Education Policy, 2020 implementation and how it seeks to transform the educational landscape of the nation, unleash the creative potential of every individual student, and promote an inclusive learning environment.
