CAA is in place, and Shah is aiming for 12 of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana

In the Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah called on the BJP to win 12 of Telangana’s 17 seats.

Speaking at a gathering of the party’s social media volunteers in Secunderabad, Shah mentioned the importance of informing people about the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) regulations. He also mentioned how Prime Minister Narendra Modi has honored refugees from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan by granting them citizenship through the legislation.

Additionally, he said that the Congress rejected the CAA as a result of vote-bank tactics and appeasement. “We had promised to bring CAA. The Congress group was against CAA. Since our country’s independence, the Congress and the drafters of our Constitution have pledged to provide Indian citizenship to those who flee persecution for their faith from Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. However, Shah said, “The Congress party opposed the CAA because of appeasement and vote-bank politics,” defending its execution.

The Home Minister went on to say that thousands of individuals from Bangladesh and Pakistan traveled to India in order to preserve their religion and honor, but they were not given Indian citizenship. “When they were denied citizenship, they felt insulted in their own country,” he said.

Shah went on to say that after the general elections, the NDA, headed by Prime Minister Modi, will retake the national leadership. He listed some of the accomplishments of the NDA government, including the removal of Article 370, the building of the Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya, the provision of 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies, the elimination of instant triple talaq, and the nation’s status as the nation with the fastest-growing economy.
