Chandigarh AAP protests Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, and charges the BJP of stifling criticism

In opposition to the arrest of its national leader and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) city unit organized a daylong fast today in front of Neelam Cinema in Sector 17.

Dr. SS Ahluwalia, Chandigarh’s AAP co-incharge, spearheaded the demonstration. Together with volunteers, a number of party council members and other prominent figures participated in the demonstration. It was also endorsed by a delegation from the Sector 23 Market Association.

Mayor Kuldeep Kumar addressed the gathering and said, “The BJP is trying to change the Constitution.” Everyone can now see the truth about the BJP’s “murder of democracy” during the city mayor elections. Putting Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, in prison without any proof is another example. The nation’s citizens will never be able to forgive the BJP for this. They’ll respond to the party during the Lok Sabha polls.

“The BJP has created an atmosphere of fear in the country,” Dr. Ahluwalia said. Opposition party leaders are imprisoned after being falsely accused in fake cases by official investigative agencies. Senior AAP politician Sanjay Singh was recently given release by the Supreme Court, revealing the truth about the “fake liquor scam” in Delhi, since the ED was unable to provide any evidence in court to support their six-month imprisonment of him.

President of City Congress HS Lucky showed up to the location and backed the demonstration. Speaking to the assembly, he said that Kejriwal was imprisoned by the BJP via the ED because of their concern about the rising support of the INDIA bloc.

AAP leaders saw a hunger strike at the Phase 3B2 market in Mohali. The organizers of the protests claimed that the federal agencies were functioning as the BJP’s political weapons. AAP leaders who took part in the hunger strike were Mohali district secretary Subhash Sharma, Govinder Mittal, advocate Amardeep Kaur, Anu Babbar, Rehmat Juneja, Prabhjot, Mandeep, Akbinder Gosal, and Amit Jani.
