Farmers’ voices being muffled by the center: Sarwan Singh Pandher

The leaders of the “Dilli Chalo” march, the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-political), criticized the Centre today for holding farmers who were on their way to Delhi.

Sarwan Singh Pandher and Manjeet Ghuman, leaders of the farming community, said that the Centre had stepped up security at the borders of Gazipur, Tikri, and Singhu, suggesting that farmers from other states were also involved in this protest.

“A group of thirty farmers from Kota in Rajasthan have been detained at Sawai Madhopur,” Pandher said. In a similar manner, 50 farmers who were traveling from Rajasthan to Delhi were halted. Since yesterday, more than 100 “X” handles have been banned in an effort to stifle farmers’ voices.

Within a few days, farmers from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar will arrive in the nation’s capital, he said.

The Haryana government came under fire from the agricultural leaders for employing guns against the restless farmers. According to media reports, Shubhkaran Singh was shot and killed on February 21 near the Khanauri border with a 12-bore weapon bullet. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s involvement has continued to be questionable. The farm leaders said, “We have discovered that the Zero FIR was filed with approval from the Haryana government.

On March 8, the agricultural unions in Shambhu and Khanauri are organizing events to commemorate International Women’s Day.

Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, received accolades from Pandher for her opposition to the federal government. “It’s unclear if the Mann administration will adopt a similar stance,” he said. Should that occur, we will back him.
