From Ayodhya, flights will start in November

Beginning in November, flights will depart from the Maryada Purshottam Sri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya towards Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

The Ayodhya International Airport’s director, Vinod Kumar, said that flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad would begin operating in November. Depending on demand, flights to other cities may be added later.

The runway for phase one of the airport has been built, according to Ayodhya District Magistrate Nitish Kumar, and 78% of the work on the terminal building has also been finished.

The district magistrate announced that the airport will have a night landing facility.

The Ayodhya airport project is being carried out at breakneck pace by the Airport Authority of India (AAI).

The project is expected to cost Rs 320 crore and the airport would be built on an 821-acre plot of land. 24 aircraft will be able to park at the airport.

At first, small aircraft with a 60-passenger capacity would land at the airport. By 2025, when the airport’s last phase is finished, Boeings will be able to land there.

AAI officials claim that the airport’s main structure and entrance would offer visitors a sense of the Ramayana period. The airport building’s elevation will imitate the Ram temple.

The walls of the airport lounge area will display Lord Ram’s primary weapon, a bow and arrow, as well as several other artifacts from the Ramayana period.
