Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Sunday that, should it become necessary, the NIA would take over the Bengalurucafe explosion investigation. Speaking with reporters in Chikkamagaluru, he said that his administration is taking the issue seriously and would do all in its power to hold those responsible accountable.

“Ministers have been known to make spontaneous comments. We do not consider the remarks made by Sharana Prakash Patil or other individuals to be official. “I base my statements on specific, official information,” he said.

He said, “There is no question of any clarification,” when questioned about reports that the administration received the FSL report three days ago and returned it in an attempt to get some clarifications.
