In Udhampur, a grid station catches fire

Jammu: According to authorities, a grid station in the Udhampur district caught fire on Thursday. They added that firefighters and police officers had arrived at the scene to put out the fire, adding that the grid station is located in the Battal Ballian industrial district. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Prahlad Sharma, “there are large transformers and oil stock there, so we are trying to control the fire.” He said that attempts are being made to use foam to put it out. Srinagar: According to authorities, security forces detained a terrorist associate on Thursday and found a stockpile of weapons and ammunition in his hands in the Kupwara area. In response to a unique tip, a combined Army, BSF, and police squad set up a roadblock and captured terrorist associate Mushtaq Ahmad Lone in the Kupwara district’s Lone Harie, according to the authorities. During the search, the accused’s possession were found to have 54 nine millimeter bullets, 10 hand grenades, and two handguns with magazines, according to the security officials. PTI

Man accused of many FIRs and booked under PSA

Jammu: On Wednesday, a guy who has been involved in many criminal cases was arrested in this city under the strict Public Safety Act (PSA), according to police. According to a police spokeswoman, Arun Kumar, a resident of Akhnoor, has many FIRs filed against him at the Akhnoor police station, highlighting his participation in a number of major crimes. He stated that the Jammu district magistrate had issued an arrest order under the PSA against him based on a police dossier, and that Kumar was being held in the Central Jail in Kot Bhalwal.
