Inspired by the PM, Chavan joins the BJP a day after leaving the Cong

Former chief minister of Maharashtra Ashok Chavan stated on Tuesday that he is pleased with Prime Minister Modi’s “sabka sath, sabaka vikas (development for all)” and that this has inspired him to join the BJP’s “development mission.”

Chavan was officially accompanied by top BJP officials, including Mumbai BJP chairman Ashish Shelar, state party chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, and deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. The BJP nominated Chavan for the Rajya Sabha and subsequently promoted him to the rank of minister in the central government.

Chavan said that after 38 years of affiliation with Congress, switching sides was not a simple task. “I had a hard time making that choice. I don’t have any grievances with anybody,” Chavan declared. “I promise to work as hard as I did in the Congress up to the very end in the BJP. Under PM Modi’s direction, I shall get off to a fantastic start,” Chavan said.

“I would like to acknowledge that I have made contributions to the organization, even though I owe the Congress for everything they have given me,” he stated.

Ashok Chavan was had to step down as chief minister when his name surfaced in charges related to the Adarsh Cooperative Housing Society scandal, which dates back to 2011. Chavan responded by calling it a “political accident.”

“We have won the lawsuit thanks to the high court’s decision. A few organizations have filed an appeal. Whatever the legal procedure, it would be adhered to, said Chavan.

“Chavan has joined us without any conditions,” remarked a warm Fadnavis. He said that he did not care about the job or the post. We are having the best day ever. Expanding our base undoubtedly benefits the BJP and Mahayuti,” Fadnavis said.

In the meanwhile, “cowards who are afraid of Central agencies” are quitting the party and the battlefield, according to state Congress chief Ramesh Chennithala. Chennithala summoned the party’s leading figures to a meeting so he could give them an inspirational speech. “No one is leaving the party; everyone is united.”

Chavan has always been given significant opportunity by the Congress party, according to Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole. “Despite their best efforts, the BJP will not do well in Maharashtra, according to Fadnavis’ own study, which puts them in danger. Thus, they are attempting to preserve their image by hurting other people, said Patole.
