Karnataka BJP president requests that SIT, which is tasked with investigating the sex video controversy, submit the matter to the CBI

Bengaluru, 18 May The president of the Karnataka BJP, BY Vijayendra, said on Saturday that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is unable to conduct an open investigation into the sex video controversy since the names of well-known politicians have been connected to it.

In an interview with reporters at the Bengaluru party headquarters, Vijayendra suggested that the CBI be given the case by the Karnataka government.

The disclosure of video footage purportedly capturing the sexual abuse of women by Hassan, the incumbent MP, and his grandson, HD Deve Gowda, has caused a stir in Karnataka’s political and civil society circles.

“Justice ought to be served to the scandal’s victims. Notable leaders’ names are being discussed. Justice cannot be served in this instance by the SIT. When questioned about the claim made by BJP leader G Devaraje Gowda, who was detained, that he was given money to corner Deve Gowda’s family, he maintained that the state government need to turn over this investigation to the CBI.

“The BJP has a clear stance on the controversy. New perspectives are revealed every day. As the president of the BJP state, he maintained, “I demand that the government immediately turn over to the CBI the investigation into the sex video scandal and other connected issues involving Prajwal Revanna and his father, JD(S) MLA HD Revanna.

Why are they apprehensive? It’s because the issue has now been connected to the identities of well-known state government officials,” he angrily said.

“I’m not rooting for anybody here. The controversy cannot be used for political gain, and the victims must be given justice. “A CBI probe is being demanded because the matter should be pursued to its logical conclusion,” Vijayendra said.

He said that the pen drive affair is an unforgivable crime and that the accused who disseminated the pen drives must face consequences while discussing actions taken against BJP officials in connection with the scandal.

“In the BJP, there is no uncertainty. Everyone culpable, including well-known leaders, need to be made public. According to Vijayendra, these situations shouldn’t happen again in the state.
