“Karnataka is not calling for more DCMs right now.”

PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi, a candidate for deputy chief minister, made it clear on Tuesday that there isn’t currently a need for the important position. Prior to the state’s most recent general election, there was a desire for more DCMs, but he said that such requests have mostly halted at this point.

Jarkiholi said that there would only be one DCM and that there was currently no plan for more DCMs when speaking to the media in Belagavi on Tuesday.

In response to the BJP’s claims that the present government had worsened the state’s law and order situation, Jarkiholi claimed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has provided data comparing the condition of law and order under the BJP’s tenure to the current state of affairs. The Chief Minister has made clear his commitment to good administration after the successful conclusion of his first year in office, he added.
