Karnataka sex scandal: JD(S) MLA HD Revanna said there was a political plot behind my detention on suspicion of kidnapping

H. D. Revanna, a member of parliament for Holenarasipura, said on Sunday that his son’s kidnapping and subsequent sexual assault of the lady were the result of a political plot.

The ex-minister, the son of the late prime minister H. D. Deve Gowda, is accused of kidnapping and unlawfully detaining a mother of three children. The woman’s son filed the lawsuit on Thursday.

According to Revanna, there is no proof of his participation in the crime, according to the May 2 lawsuit filed against him.

“There are no supporting documents for the May 2 complaint. There is a massive political conspiracy. When Revanna was brought to the Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital for a medical examination prior to appearing in court, he informed reporters, “A conspiracy was hatched against me.”

Special Investigator Team members presented Revanna before the court. Hassan JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna’s son is the subject of charges of sexual assault, which the SIT is looking into. This comes after a large collection of graphic recordings purportedly showing Prajwal abusing many women emerged online and were extensively circulated.

The victim’s 20-year-old son filed a complaint alleging that H. D. Revanna abducted his mother on April 29 on a motorbike, claiming that the MLA wanted to visit her. The complaint was filed with the KR Nagar police.

According to the complaint, Babanna threatened to have his mother and her family members jailed if they “opened her mouth before the police.”

The 20-year-old complainant then learned from a friend and family that his mother was one of the women in the publicly accessible video cache, which purportedly showed her being bound and sexually assaulted by Prajwal.

Police took Sathish Babanna into custody after he indicated that he thought his mother was in danger and removed the victim from a farmhouse.

The BJP-JD(S) candidate for Hassan Lok Sabha, Prajwal Revanna (33), is accused of molestation and rape.

On the suggestion of Nagalakshmi Chowdhary, the Karnataka State Commission for Women, the Karnataka government established a Special Investigation Team, which is now looking into the situation.

In all, three FIRs have been filed in relation to the claims of sexual assault involving the father and son.

The cook and Revanna family member said that H. D. Revanna and his son Prajwal had abused her in the first instance at Holenarasipura.

A JD (S) leader accused Prajwal of raping her at gunpoint, filming the rape, and then blackmailing her in the second complaint filed with CID Bengaluru.

The third accusation involves the kidnapping and unauthorized custody of a lady and is directed against Revanna.
