Karnataka: Using music to earn money for Akshaya Patra during meals

The Akshaya Patra Initiative has increased the number of pupils receiving lunch service from 50,000 to 2.2 lakh in order to guarantee that food reaches every student.

Vice chairman of the foundation Chanchalapathi D said that the organization has expanded from giving 50,000 meals daily in 2021 to 2.2 lakh meals daily at a press conference on Friday at the ISKCON temple. “We operate with 72 kitchens and employ about 9,000 staff members. Our objective is to extend our meal services to every government school,” said Shridhar Venkat, CEO of the Akshaya Patra Foundation.

Pravin Godkhindi, a classical musician, will play at the “Music for Meals” event. The event’s goal is to earn money to feed 6,667 children for a year. March 1st is the planned date of the event.
