Kejriwal begins the Lok Sabha campaign in Delhi

From the nation’s capital, the Aam Aadmi Party began its Lok Sabha election campaign on Friday. The AAP slogan reads, “Sansad mein bhi Kejriwal, tabhee Dilli hogee aur khushahaal” (Delhi would be more prosperous with Kejriwal in the Parliament too). Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that the BJP MPs from the city never brought up its problems in the Parliament, and he was pleading with Delhi voters to pick INDIA bloc candidates from all seven Lok Sabha seats to strengthen his hands.

Speaking at a gathering at the party’s headquarters, Kejriwal said that despite the AAP’s recent formation—roughly 12 years ago—the people of Delhi demonstrated their confidence and support by electing them to power in two consecutive Assembly elections with a resounding majority. “By assimilating into Delhi’s two crore inhabitants, I have never thought of myself as the Chief Minister, but rather as the son of every household in the city. I’ve made an effort to help them and solve their concerns,” Kejriwal said.

“I want to ask where the seven MPs, whom you had elected, were during this time?” the Chief Minister asked, scolding the seven Delhi-based Lok Sabha MPs for failing to bring up concerns facing city dwellers in the legislature. when your access to yoga, education, and medications was cut off? These seven MPs, where were they? They were rejoicing and applauding. Your family members rejoice when one another becomes ill. These MPs rejoice when the education of your children is discontinued. Your family celebrates when your kids ask for public facilities. And we are providing for these folks,” the Chief Minister reprimanded.

Kejriwal denounced the contentious Government of New Delhi (Amendment) Act, stating, “Where were these seven MPs when the ordinance was enacted in the Parliament and the rights of Delhi were taken away? To halt your task, they go to the L-G. Why do we continue to support these individuals with our votes?

Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, made a plea to the people of Delhi to support the AAP in the next general elections.

“The Delhi population awarded the AAP 67 out of 70 seats the first time around and 62 out of 70 seats the second time around. The AAP’s emphasis on labor is the reason Arvind Kejriwal always wins in Delhi, he said.

Mann boasted about the advantages of the AAP government, saying, “We do not engage in politics of hatred and division.” Government schools were created in Delhi, and mohalla clinics were established. Electricity was liberated. Pilgrimage for senior citizens began. We have taken the initiatives from Delhi and multiplied them by two or three in Punjab. In Punjab, there are now 829 Mohalla Clinics, and 1.25 crore people have gotten treatment and recovered so far,” he said.
