Kerala guy, 23, who was set flame by his cousin, dies from burns
On Sunday, a 23-year-old boy who had been severely burned when his cousin doused him in gasoline and set him on fire passed away from his wounds. Kalesh, a resident of Chadayamangalam in Kollam, passed away.
The kid was set on fire by his cousin Sanal for reportedly tormenting his wife, and he has been receiving treatment at the Paripally Government Medical College Hospital since last Thursday.
As to the police report, the incident happened on March 14 at about 12:30 p.m. Kalesh’s workplace, the Poredom Chandamukku junction workshop in Chadayamangalam, was broken into by Sanal. Sanal suddenly doused Kalesh’s corpse with gasoline and set him on fire.
When locals heard Kalesh plead for assistance, they raced to the area and extinguished the fire. Nevertheless, he died after sustaining 80% burns in the event. The defendant turned himself up to the Chadayamangalam police.
