LeT extremist killed in gunfight in Pulwama

The quiet of the interior of Kashmir was shattered when clashes between terrorists and security forces recommenced after a break of more than three months.

According to the police, the army (53RR), the CRPF (183Bn), and the police together started a cordon and search operation in the Frassipora region of Pulwama in response to specific intelligence about the presence of a militant there.

According to a police spokeswoman, “the hiding terrorist opened fire indiscriminately upon the joint search party during the search operation as they approached the suspected spot. This was effectively retaliated against, leading to an encounter.”

He said that a militant was murdered in the subsequent confrontation and that his corpse was found at the scene. The terrorist was subsequently identified, according to the police, as a Danish sheikh who lived in Srinagar. He belonged to the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT)/TRF, which was outlawed. The dead terrorist was found to have weapons, ammo, and evidence that may be used against him, according to the authorities.

The police said that they had opened an investigation and filed a complaint in accordance with the applicable legal provisions. Until the encounter site is thoroughly cleaned and free of any explosive materials, if any, the police have urged the public to comply.

A LeT terrorist was slain by security authorities on January 5 following an altercation in the Shopian neighborhood. The confrontation on Thursday occurred after almost three months of comparatively quiet conditions in the Valley’s interior. On the other hand, on April 5, the Indian Army foiled an attempt at infiltration in the Baramulla area of Uri. This action resulted in the death of one militant.

Unidentified militants opened fire on and injured a driver named Dilranjit Singh, a Delhi resident, on Monday night in the Shopian area when he was driving a German couple visiting Kashmir.

At a cordon-and-search operation, there is a fight.

According to a police official, the security forces had begun a cordon-and-search operation in Fressipora village in the Rajpora region of the south Kashmir district after receiving information about the presence of terrorists there.
When the terrorists opened fire on the soldiers, who replied, the search operation became a confrontation.
The deceased ultra-muslim was identified as Danish Sheikh, a Srinagar local. He belonged to the Lashkar-e-Toiba branch The Resistance Front, which was outlawed.
