Madan Das Devi, an RSS idealist, dies; Amit Shah and Mohan Bhagwat attend her cremation in Pune

In Pune on Tuesday, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh president Mohan Bhagwat and Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid respect to the late RSS idealogue Madan Das Devi.

The RSS’s joint secretary was Madan Das Devi. He died on Monday morning in Bengaluru at the age of 81.

Devi’s lifeless bones were preserved in the Motibaug headquarters of the RSS in Pune for ‘darshan’.

His last rituals are reportedly scheduled to take place at this location’s Vaikunth Crematorium on Tuesday.

JP Nadda, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, and deputy chief ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were among significant figures who paid respect to the RSS philosopher.

He was a full-time Pracharak (campaigner), according to the PTI, and was important in helping top-tier BJP and RSS officials hone their leadership abilities.

Devi served as the joint general secretary of the RSS and the organization secretary of the RSS’s student wing, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), according to an RSS official. The top rung BJP officials at the national level that you see now all benefited from his development of their leadership abilities, according to the RSS official.

On Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his sympathies for Devi’s departure, writing, “I am very grieved by the demise of Sri Madam Das Devi Ji. He committed his whole life to serving the country. Along with becoming acquainted with him, I got the chance to pick his brain and learn a lot from him. May God comfort all of the employees and his family members at this difficult time. OMG Shanti.

According to the RSS, Shri Madan Das Devi, a senior Pracharak of the organization, died around 5 am at Bengaluru’s Rashtrotthan Hospital. Age-wise, he was 81. He was the Co-Sarkaryavah of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the All India Organization Minister of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad.
