Minister Puri: PM Modi’s trips to France and the UAE were “high on optics” but also “high on substantive outcomes”

On Sunday, the BJP hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent trips to France and the United Arab Emirates as “successful,” noting that they were “high on optics” as well as “high on substantive outcomes.”

After “successful” trips to France and the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister Modi arrived back in India on Saturday. Hardeep Singh Puri, a Union minister, told reporters at the BJP headquarters in this city that the prime minister’s trips to France and the United Arab Emirates “were successful and had positive results.”

Since the prime minister began his official tour to the US, Australia, Egypt, France, the United Arab Emirates, and Japan in May, it has been “India flavour and India story” in many areas of the globe, according to Puri.

In the bilateral and international arenas, “certainly, all of these visits have very positive outcomes,” he added. “I think it’s India flavour and India story in many parts of the world,” he said, “in terms of both the sheer momentum of our exchanges with the outside world and also the kind of events which are planned for the coming weeks leading up to the G20 summit.”

“This was not just a visit that was high on optics, but it was also high on substantive outcomes,” he added in reference to the prime minister’s trip to France. Additionally, it establishes the foundation for collaboration over the next 25 years.
