Muslims demand that the PM construct the Ayodhya mosque

The Muslim community has urged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi lay the foundation stone for the much-anticipated mosque in Dhanipur hamlet in Ayodhya, as the first phase of construction work for the Ram Temple draws closer to completion.

After placing the temple’s foundation stone on August 5, 2020, the prime minister will go to Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, to attend Ram Lalla’s Pran Pratistha event at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple.

Everyone from Prime Minister Modi to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) president Mohan Bhagwat referenced the temple’s consecration next year in their addresses on Tuesday, the day of Dussehra. Under such circumstances, some Muslims in Ayodhya want that the PM lay the foundation stone for the mosque in addition to the Pran Pratistha Programme.

“It is a fortunate moment for our PM to visit Ayodhya. Mohammed Ismail Ansari, the president of the Indian Muslim League, stated, “We, on behalf of Muslim brothers, request him (PM Modi) to lay the foundation stone of the Mohammad Bin Abdullah, Dhannipur mosque.”

Likewise, Dr. IIyasi, the head of the All India Imam Organization, and Imam Ahmed Bukhari of Jama Masjid were asked to accompany Modi by Dr. Nazmul Hasan Ghani, the acting state president of the Indian Muslim League.

The primary plaintiff in the Babri Masjid lawsuit, Iqbal Ansari, specifically blames the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation’s trustees for the new mosque’s construction’s delay. According to Ansari, “if the trustees were right, then some work would have progressed by now,” thus he asked that the trustees be replaced.
