MVA allies meeting to finalize the Maharashtra agreement

In order to negotiate seat-sharing for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) formed the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). Prakash Ambedkar-led Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) was invited to the conference. According to sources, MVA offered four Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, compared to VBA’s demand of five, indicating that it was prepared to make accommodations.

The MVA convened a secret meeting in which Uddhav Thackeray, Prakash Ambedkar, Balasaheb Thorat, Congress leader, and Sharad Pawar were present. Sanjay Raut, the head of the Shiv Sena (UBT), said, “Every alliance partner participated in a positive meeting.” Prakash Ambedkar is also involved, and the MVA is the same.

Ambedkar instructed the media to assess the meeting’s success based only on his pleasant countenance and declined to comment on seat sharing. According to a politician with knowledge of the proceedings at the meeting, Prakash Ambedkar has not yet shown his full desire to participate in the MVA.

“Unless and until Prakash Ambedkar joins us officially, it will be early to say he is part of MVA,” the leader said, seeking anonymity. We’re doing all we can to include him in MVA. The struggle to preserve the Constitution written by BR Ambedkar, the grandfather of Prakash Ambedkar, will be fought in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Thus, a great deal of accountability rests with Mr. Ambedkar. Additionally, Sharad Pawar is attempting to persuade the Rashtriya Samaj Paksha, headed by Mahadeo Jankar, to join the NDA in Maharashtra.

“Jankar and Sharad Pawar are in communication. It would greatly benefit us if Jankar, a member of the Dhangar community, joined us. In western Maharashtra, the Dhangar community is important, according to a leader who asked to remain anonymous. In the meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) is urging Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, grandson of Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu of Kolhapur and the 12th direct descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, to run on the Congress emblem.

Additionally, Sharad Pawar is attempting to win over Rashtriya Samaj Paksha, chaired by Mahadeo Jankar and a member of the Maharashtra NDA. The MVA will benefit greatly if Jankar, a member of the Dhangar gang, joins them.
