Nadda claims that India’s growth rate is higher than the USA’s

On Tuesday, BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has become a global force and has outpaced the United States of America (USA) in terms of growth rate.

Nadda spoke to BJP members after arriving in Bhopal on Tuesday night for a two-day tour. He also opened an exhibition highlighting the accomplishments made possible by PM Modi’s leadership over the last nine years.

“The vikas dar (growth rate) of the US was 7.9 percent, while that of India was 8.10 percent,” Nadda remarked.

He said that under Modi’s leadership, India’s poverty rate, which was 22%, had dropped to 10% according to data from the United Nations and other organisations. Less than 1% of the population is now considered to be very impoverished, he said.

“The Congress lacks a lot of information. Their leaders never stop yelling “inflation,” “inflation,” “inflation,” etc. They are unaware that the Morgan and Stanley research identifies India as having the world’s strongest economy, according to Nadda.

The BJP leader came the day before Prime Minister Modi was supposed to visit Bhopal on June 27.

The PM will speak at the Motilal Nehru police stadium with party members from 34 states before he flags off new Vande Bharat trains from Bhopal.
