No one will remain in BRS once Congress opened the gates: Revanth

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy claimed on Sunday that he has opened the Congress doors for leaders from other parties, including MLAs, to join the venerable organization, stating that he began making political moves after 100 days in power. He said that now, the only people remaining in the BRS are the relatives of the organization’s head and former chief minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Speaking at the Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) “Meet the Press” event, he compared KCR to the Nizam. “KCR pursued dynasty policies and behaved like a neo-Nizamizam. That’s the reason why the people overthrew KCR and handed the Congress party a broad mandate,” Revanth said.

Despite their many development projects, the Nizams were inherently despotic. The CM said that this was the cause of the uprising against the despotic authorities.

He said that KCR tried to uphold Telangana’s autocratic government, citing the history of Telangana society’s rejection of slavery.

Similar to Qasim Rizvi, KCR attempted to quell opposition to his power and domination in Telangana. By presenting the Kaleshwaram project and the state secretariat as his accomplishments, KCR stole the people’s freedom. To further his notoriety, he demolished Telangana’s cultural heritage and imprisoned poets, authors, and painters for years, according to Revanth.

He went on, “On the other hand, by delivering on each of our six promises one by one, we (the Congress government) are moving quickly to implement all welfare schemes and extend support to the poor.”

He said that other BRS officials, including former minister T Harish Rao, were attempting to prevent the issuance of “zero power bills,” which would have allowed recipients to get free energy.

Revanh mentioned the state’s financial predicament, stating that the former BRS administration had left the state with a debt load of Rs 9 lakh crore. “Telangana’s annual debt repayment burden was under Rs 6,000 crore on the day of state establishment (in 2014). Because to KCR’s measures, it has now climbed to Rs 70,000 crore annually,” he remarked.

To combat the dishonest

According to the chief minister, his administration is progressing by preserving friendly ties with the governor and the Union government.

“A vibrant Telangana is our aim. There have been reports of unchecked corruption during the former BRS administration. He said, “Our government will not spare any corruption or misdeeds. We are investigating every issue and will take appropriate action.”

“During the BRS regime, the Dharani site was privately owned. Now, things are different. Institutions within government are in charge of the portal. After the forensic audit report is turned in, the truth (about the anomalies) will be revealed,” he said.

In addition, he restated the government’s pledge to prosecute individuals accountable for the “damage.”

Revanth responded to RS Praveen Kumar’s resignation from the BSP by stating that the former IPS officer is a well-respected individual. “Had he stayed in the service, he would have become a DGP,”

The chief minister said that Praveen had been given the position of TSPSC chairman by his administration, but he had turned it down. He said that while he is unsure whether Praveen would join the BRS, he will need to “answer to people” if he decides to work with KCR.

Meanwhile, Revanth made it clear that actions are being taken to prevent financial misuse and that the advantages of Rythu Bharosa would not be extended to “hillocks and mountains.”
