Noida Traffic Advisory: Yamuna Expressway Route Diversions check the restrictions due to the MotoGP event

Between September 22 and September 24, 2023, the Buddh International Circuit in Noida will host the renowned two-wheeler racing competition MotoGP. The main race will take place on Sunday, but the practice sessions have been ongoing since Friday. The Noida Police has issued a traffic advice that places certain limits on those who are driving through Noida, particularly near the MotoGP India 2023 Venue. Check out the traffic warning that the Noida Police has given.

Police Traffic Advisory for Noida
According to the Noida Police’s updated advise for September 23, the movement of goods carriers on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and Yamuna Expressway would be limited between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM from Friday through Monday, or till September 25, 2023. However, police made it clear that cars transporting necessities like milk, veggies, and medications, etc. would not be subject to the limitations.

Yamuna Expressway Detours
The Yamuna Expressway has a few route detours as well. The Chilla cut has been closed, and according to Anil Kumar Yadav, DCP Traffic, there is a diversion on the Yamuna Expressway’s Zewar Toll Plaza from which only those commuters are allowed who are going to watch the race. The police have advised the public to avoid the Yamuna Expressway if they are not going to the Buddha International Circuit. There is a detour at the Zero Point due to heavy traffic, and both the Sabauta Cut and the Zero Point have a large police presence.

Traffic heading from the Buddha International Circuit towards the Dankaur region is also not permitted, and there may be a detour in place for traffic heading from Mathura-Aligarh to the Yamuna Expressway this evening between 5 and 6 PM. The Chilla Border in Noida has been shut down, and those attending the event are being urged to use the metro to the site.

Additional Route Restriction
The traffic warning was issued in anticipation of the MotoGP race and the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS), both of which are taking place in Greater Noida until September 25. The Police Act of 1861’s Section 32 will be used to penalize anyone who violate this order, according to the police.

Additionally, automobiles and DTC buses were instructed to follow the route from Mayur Vihar, Kondli, and Jhandupura to go to their destination instead of entering Noida through DND and Kalindi Kunj. To prevent disruption, commuters were advised to utilize Google Maps, Mappls Map, or the My India app. They were also instructed to call the hotline at 9971009001 with any questions.
