On July 26, PM Modi is likely to inaugurate the renovated ITPO Complex

The renovated ITPO complex in this city, which will host the G20 leaders’ conference in September, is set to get its formal opening on July 26 from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to government sources on Sunday.

The location, also known as the Pragati Maidan complex, is India’s biggest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination and has a campus area of around 123 acres.

According to them, the renovated and contemporary IECC complex rivals illustrious names like the Hannover Exhibition Centre in Germany and the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC) in Shanghai in terms of the covered space available for events, placing it among the top 10 exhibition and convention complexes worldwide.

According to them, India’s potential to host major international events is shown by the IECC’s size and facilities. A magnificent seating capacity of 7,000 people is available on Level 3 of the Convention Centre, making it even bigger than the famed Sydney Opera House’s seating capacity of 5,500 people.

They said that this outstanding characteristic defines the IECC as a location suitable for holding massive conferences, international summits, and cultural extravaganzas on an international scale. Exhibition halls provide seven creative locations for presenting goods, inventions, and ideas, according to officials. These cutting-edge halls provide the perfect setting for exhibitors and businesses to interact with their target market, encouraging professional development and networking possibilities, they noted.

The IECC boasts of a spectacular amphitheatre with 3,000 seats, among many other remarkable characteristics, they said. This vast amphitheatre, which they claim is equivalent to three PVR theaters combined, provides the backdrop for exciting concerts, entertaining events, and cultural displays.

Over 5,500 parking places are available at the IECC since the comfort of guests is a top concern. They said, “The venue is easily accessible via signal-free roads, ensuring that visitors can reach the venue without any hassle.”
